About Our School

Saint Scholastica School opened in 1962 with the Benedictine Sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery, Lisle, as teachers.  Initally, there were three grades in two rented homes on the corner of Janes and Crabtree.  As enrollment increased, a permanent school was built in 1964 and additional grades were introduced.

Today, Saint Scholastica School facilities include classrooms for students from kindergarten through eighth grade.  In addition to core classrooms, there is a school gym, library, and computer lab.  The attached Parish Center includes additional classrooms for music, art, and resource classes as well as an Acitvity Center.
